Ok everyone was gone by 10:00 am this am. The house is a wreck but it was wonderful having everyone. We are minus 2 fish and some RUM... what a combination. It was a really great family time and last night Judy sat everybody down and told them how Mike was doing and showed us photos of their 40+ years on marriage., it was very touching and there were tears around the room... Family is so important, and I will post some photos on our blog as long as my computer keeps a runnin! Since we are not going to have a family reunion this summer maybe we ought to plan for next Thanksgiving????

We had so much fun last night at Carina and Nick's. Everybody was there, and it's been so long since that happened.

Hi guys, well here I am coming to you from the desert and it is still warm! 74 - 80, we hope it lasts through Fri., as we will be having 26 - 30 of our family over. Went shopping today, have a fridge full...Cary's party was really nice though between us I was disappointed that his friends from SL didn't come- just Anthony- which made me proud of him. Anyway the crew from Alaska was all there, plus Carolyn's grand kids and kids and us ofcourse, and Victoria, everyone had a great time. Carolyn bought soooo much stuff, candy, little trinkets and it was decorated just so cute- musta been 30 + balloons- well she really knows how to do a party! They are such great friends, I am really blessed, really, really, really. Makes me wonder what she sees in me!!!!! Hey on another note, couldn't our blog be easier to access- like Carina's? Hey we haven't heard from Dad yet either! Ummmm... well tomorrow is clean the house day and Wed, I've got more shopping to do,plus my Dr. appt (Jeannine's coming) plus make all the beds for 10 guests- aren't I just a wiz????(I will be using some sleeping bags!) Well, I wish I were seeing you all on Thanksgiving too. Miss you ALL LOTS! Love you so much. Let's talk on Thanksgiving.:)

Weekend...Here at Last!

I don't know about anybody else but I'm soooo ready for the weekend! It's going to fly by but at least it's a change of pace...

Today I'm driving up to Kirkland to meet my friend Melissa for coffee. Then, having lunch with Stacy. After lunch we are going to check out a house for her and also check out the roommates. She found this on Craigslist...so pray they aren't axe murderers! I just want what God wants for her, so pray.

Then, the Thanksgiving grocery shopping trip...but, we are keeping it sort of simple this year, although, Peter will be here and we don't want him to think we are too plain!

Tomorrow will be just a relaxing day...waiting for Bob, laundry, etc.

Sunday check in

Hi guys! Sunday night check in. I always told you that Robyn was a troublemaker! You gotta watch her every minute. Vic, Stacy and Cary we haven't heard from you this week. Everyone check in at least once a week so we won't worry. We are all praying for you Teresa and will have you in our hearts while you are seeing your surgeon at 2:45 on Thursday. Movie Recommendation

We went to see
INTO THE WILD
last night and it was very, very good. I would highly recommend it.

Robyn's a trouble maker...

Well, I guess I've gone and done it...caused a big stir at Sumner High School...
Who knew I could upset so many people?

In a nutshell...I said something TO STAFF ONLY about somebody having a possible case of MRSA (for those that don't know...a man just died in WA from it last week). I was not trying to make a big deal...and I certainly wasn't worried, I was just stating a fact because somebody asked me if we had it at our school.

Oh dear...wrong thing to do.

We had kids going home in droves today because somehow the word got out. I had several in my office with panic attacks. They were all sure they were going to drop dead any minute.

What a circus.

Anyway, I had to deal with one of the big wigs down at district...wow, she was not too happy! Then, I got to deal with my principal (who just laughed about it) and Sue, the District Heatlh Officer. She laughed too...

You would have thought we had an outbreak of the plague the way parents were calling me today.

And you didn't think I had any power...

My First Time...

Hi everyone... I am finally joining in, and I hope both Stacy and Victoria will too. I doubt that Mr. Cary will because "he doesnt want to make a big deal out of anything!! lol Today I picked him up from school and we went to Best Buy, he got a computer game, a new memory card, the thing you hold when you play games and something else I dont remember! I am having a senior moment I guess. Then we met Victoria at Chili's for lunch. Where is my dog???- this cat is for the birds... (lets see who gets that.) I am at Victoria's using the computer. We are looking into a 500 GB external hard drive to put all of our photos on so it wont affect our computer so much. Hopefully we can get it working on a regular basis here soon. Maybe this is too much information for a blog. I also went on to check out rates for Feb 13 - 25 (which is cheaper than coming on the 15th., (a Friday)so I guess all of you lovebirds will have to put up with us IF we go with those dates. After the Ohio debacle dont think I am quite ready to book yet! Miss you all more than you can imagine, my hair is turning white! I need a girls day!

This is exactly what I thought would happen, I would be the only one to post...yeah, you all tried it ONCE and then, that was the end. And, there are those who we haven't heard from yet...so, does this mean I'm talking to myself?

Congratulations to Nick...his first day was today at his new job and he sounded elated when I talked to him! He's going to make a huge difference, I can tell already! YAY Nick, we are so proud of you!

good idea

Got up early, but it is easy to do on the first morning of our normal time. Woke up at 4, I think I will take a nap today. My Buddy boy just got up to have coffee with me. Spoke with Teresa yesterday and her computer is not working. She is going over to Vic's to work on her project and get her mail. He did not think about putting stuff back.

Yesterday we ran errands and watched some football. Your Dad took every single thing out of the closet in the spare room and it is now on the bed, on the floor, on the chair---you just name it. He had to get to the water turn off valve and so now, where we once thought that room was messy it is a disaster zone.

Hopefully I will be able to work on my Bible study today, I am 3 days behind and that is way too much. I am going to be burning the midnight oil this week for sure.

In the Beginning...

The matriarch of the family, mom, the eldest mom, suggested we have a family blog. I think it's a splendid idea...so I decided to start one. I am really expecting everybody to participate. Even those who think they are computer illiterate or who don't think they have anything to contribute...ahem, this means YOU!

And, don't think nobody is interested in what YOU have to say, because we are interested. WE ARE. So, nobody gets to just read and not contribute...OK?

What did you do today? I'll tell you what I did...I got up and laid around until NOON and then went and worked at the clothing bank until 8:00. We had a huge cleaning out party and it was great! We had 7 women show up and we totally got everything done. Well, I think we did. I left before it was totally done...Bob went to watch a football game at his friend's house. Carina and Nick are in Cannon Beach. I don't know what the rest of you did...so, come on, spill it!
